Witches from a haunted hayride

A recent addition to our usual festivals, the town held its first annual haunted hayride in October of 2008. On the first and only night the hayride was held it attracted nearly 450 people looking for a frightfully good time. The event proved to be a wild success and will be a regular event in the future with plans to extend the event to two or even three weekends, and will feature more volunteers, more decorations, and maybe even an actual walk-through haunted house next Halloween season! The hayride is a joint effort between the Lansing Volunteer Fire Department and the townspeople of Lansing.

Greater L.A. Festival

The Greater L.A. Fesival gathers a big crowd every year on the second Friday and Saturday of September. Live gospel and folk music, fun activities for the kids including face painting, hay rides, and inflatable attractions along with great food and fellowship make for a great weekend outing for the whole family.

Scenes from the first annual Christmas play hosted by the town of Lansing performed by volunteers and children from around the community. Play audiences get to experience a walk through Bethlehem at the time of Jesus's birth.

And the people of Lansing are currently in the process of coming up with even more fun events and activities that are sure to be fun for the whole family looking for small town celebrations and hospitality.
